Experience
03/1999 – 09/2003 Lufthansa Cargo – Cargo Claims Manager Iberia
Responsible for processing air cargo claims. I designed and implemented a tool for the registration of claims, which allowed us to evaluate response times; analyze the causes and take corrective actions, and be able to report the indemnified amounts.
09/2003 – 06/2006 Samsung Electronics – Outbound Controller & Assistant Manager Iberia
I was part of the team that integrated the Barcelona and Lisbon centers into a large Distribution Center for Iberia, managing a space of 15,000 m2. My main tasks were to ensure that the 3PL prepared the orders on time, in shape, and these were delivered on time. This required close contact with our order department, reviewing EDI communications our 3PL as well as accompanying salespeople during customer visits.
06/2006 – 03/2012 Philips Ibérica – Warehouse & Distribution Manager Iberia
I was in charge of the daily management of the Distribution Center located in Seseña. My main tasks were: Securing adequate storage capacity for current and future needs; daily inventory control; daily foolow-ups with the 3PL to ensure that the inbound & outbound was processed on time and in a proper manner. Weekly and monthly meetings with the warehouse, as well as with carriers to review the KPIs and take improvement actions.
My greatest achievement was getting our logistics providers to work together and obtaining savings by eliminating waste from the processes. Together we managed to reduce expenses by 15% (€ 750,000).
In 2008-2009 I was asked to temporarily lead Orders department, during 8 months. The goal was to integrate the 2 teams with 16 employees, from different divisions, into 1 single team.
04/2012 – 03/2020 TP Vision Europe BV – Operations Manager
This company was created as a joint venture between Philips and TPV Technologies. Over the years I acquired more responsibilities, ending up managing the Venlo (NL) and Daganzo (ES) warehouses for the last 3 years. These two warehouses are equivalent to a third of the TV sales in Europe and Venlo for 100% of the Audio sales.
I implemented planning & forecast control processes; We managed to improve logistics costs by implementing more efficient work processes.
In 2018, my team and I participated in the start-up of the new Audio division, designed the logistics import flows from China to Europe. We calculated the storage capacity needs, the handling processes and prepared the logistics budget.
03/2020 – 06/2021 Candela Medical – Regional Logistics Manager
My main task was to lead the transfer of the 5 local warehouses in Europe to the new European Distribution Center in Brussels (BE). We had to manage change, as logistics changed from in-house to external.
KPI’s were implemented to measure internal and external services, these helped us to internally convince the detractors of the benefits that we were obtaining.
Overall delivery lead-times were reduced by 2 weeks as well as transport costs were reduced by almost 40%.
07/2001 – Current Innovatrans Forwarding – Projects and Quality Director as well as Member of the Board.
I joined the company to lead the projects department as well as implement quality processes like ISO 9001. In these few months, we have been able to win important tenders, that have helped the company to increase turnover by over 25%.
